Baby Development
From tummy time to crawling, I break down exactly how to help your baby build strength and coordination. I also check for retained reflexes that can impact movement, feeding, or sleep — and give you fun activities to integrate them naturally at home. Resources provided to understand primitive reflexes, what motor skills we want to highlight for your baby’s age, and video tutorial for activities to do with your baby to advance their motor skills.
Motor Skills & Reflexes
Tongue, Lip, & Cheek Ties
Feeding can be stressful when oral ties get in the way. I’ll assess how ties might be affecting your baby’s breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or early solids and give helpful tips to support your baby, including giving you necessary referrals with specialists to help make any needed corrections. Want to better understand what a “tie” is? See my resource Ties and Oral Tethers: Tongue & Lip Ties
Is your baby fussy with certain textures, sounds, or positions? Or seem hard to settle? Was your baby in the NICU or born prematurely? I help you understand your baby’s unique sensory needs and show you calming (or alerting) techniques to make daily life easier and more enjoyable for both of you. I’ll also cover important sensory exposure to help babies acclimate to life on the outside, specifically premature babies that may have had a rougher start than others.
Sensory Processing Strategies
Learn soothing, bonding touch that can help with digestion, sleep, and overall regulation. I’ll teach you simple, step-by-step massage routines tailored to your baby’s comfort and your confidence level. Access to written and video instruction so you don’t have to panic about memorizing everything the first time. Want to skip the in-person demo? Find your PDF/Video tutorial here for the DIY approach.
Infant Massage
I’ll get you started on the basics of good sleep habits and routines using developmentally appropriate and regulatory tips/tricks that support more natural and settled sleep patterns. I’ll help you understand how your baby’s sensory and motor development impacts sleep (the horrid sleep regressions)— and share realistic strategies to encourage better rest (for everyone!).
Sleep Guidelines
Wondering if your baby’s rolling, reaching, or sitting skills are on track? I’ll assess your baby’s current movements and help you understand what’s typical and what might need extra support — all through video observation and parent coaching. Then you’ll get a clear, easy-to-follow plan for playful activities that encourage the next developmental milestones.
Developmental Checks
Get personalized ideas for play and movement that fit right into your busy day — using things you already have at home. Perfect for parents who want to boost development without adding stress. I’ll also give therapy preferred toy ideas and play space set-up tricks to help you feel more confident carrying out your home exercise program independently.
Daily Activities
Bottle Feeding
Whether you’re combo feeding, exclusively bottle feeding, or troubleshooting bottle refusal, I’ll help you figure out the best nipple flow, positioning, and pacing to keep feeds comfortable and efficient. We’ll also look at ways to reduce gas, spit-up, and swallowing air — so feeding times feel easier and more enjoyable for both of you.
If your baby favors turning one way or has a flat spot, I provide gentle assessments and teach you positioning strategies, stretches, and daily habits to help improve neck mobility and encourage a rounder head shape — reducing the need for helmeting whenever possible. Referrals to specialists as needed.
Torticollis & Head Shape
In person hands on assessment of developmental skills and milestones so you don’t have to guess. Education on how to pick the right milestones to track based on their age correction (for premature babies only). I’ll help you understand what’s typical vs abnormal and show you playful ways to encourage their next milestones — so you can support their growth with confidence.
Milestones & Age Adjustments
Still in the NICU? If you’re looking for more resources and education on your baby’s development, look no further! Let’s talk about protecting your baby’s brains, big milestones (that look small) in the NICU, and how to support better sensory regulation in a stressful environment.
